Bob Wiseman from Ulverstone, Tasmania just completed his first box, all made with Aussie wood! It consists of Huon Pine mitred sides, with a Blackwood veneered lid
and River Red Gum keys and removable divider. Beautiful wood. Nice work Bob!

Now, Paul Homes in Perth, Western Australia tells me it is not a very comfortable time to be working in the shop. Check out these temps. (38 C is the same as 100 F.) Yep, there are guys in Minnesota right now having the same problem with their shops being too uncomfortable to work in!

Handy Australian table saw jig from Warren

Uh, 38C is more like 100 F, not 11F!. Way too hot for me in Toronto, Canada.

Ahhhh.... Summer in OZ. I'm a relocted desert rat, I wish I was back in the hot and dry! And yes, 38C is 100.4F... NBD. I find it is easier to drink a cold one than to work all bundled up. Temp here this morning in MI was 20F - absolute zero for someone from the desert!! C'mon springtime!
ReplyDeleteHey Steve, 38 degrees is more like 101 F I think :-)
ReplyDeleteAnd yes I am in Perth Australia and at 11.30pm on Wednesday night it is still 32C outside or approx 90 F :-) thank God I have air conditioning ...
I live in Minnesota and those temps sound so nice. We have had a warm winter but nothing like that, there is still plenty of snow on the ground and icicles from the roofs!! Great looking box and jig guys.
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Bad typo!
