Over a month ago, Warren and I started brainstorming ideas for an Australia Day project. I learned a lot about the customs and traditions associated with the holiday. Ever heard of a Pavlova? It's a dessert commonly served on Australia Day. I thought about making a special cake box for one, but the thought of making an actual Pavlova to put in it seemed daunting.
But really Australia Day sounds a lot like the 4th of July here in the U.S. Lots of backyard activities, but mainly barbecue and beer. So I came across the idea of combining the two into one BBQ caddy. But not just a serving tray: a totally pimped-out, over-the-top caddy.
Naturally, a campy extravaganza of a video was in order.
What? You didn't finish up with a "The End" on a girl like the one near the beginning of the video? Just for the fun of it? I'm disappointed. Nice box, by the way.
Great video Steve... once again the genius that is WWFM putting to rest the age old confusing debate of naming summer footwear vs the special 'mummy/daddy' underwear. Mine will definitely be referred to as flip-flops from now on lol.
However I think your caddy needs a bit more pimping out... for example you missed the opportunity to make the extra beer storage... well... refridgerated... maybe next time..
Great video but there is are two things which need to be addressed. Where is the bottle opener and is there a latch that keeps the beer storage compartment closed? Wouldn't want to loose the beer and more importantly, you want a way to open them after have several of them.

ReplyDeleteBeer storage: thought about adding a cooler but figured I can easily drink 4 beers before they get cold. Should have had a bigger compartment though.
ReplyDeleteNeeded a bottle opener. I wanted to attach one of those wall-attached types on the outside but I couldn't find one in time!
The beer compartment has a magnetic latch.
Should perhaps have clarified: That beer compartment is sized to fit four _American_ beers.
